Dominic & Elsa Vallario, Surfside, SC, November 2011: “Well we’re here again!! And we will be here at least 2-3 times a year. How can we not!! This place is so relaxing and peaceful just sitting on the rocking chair and looking at God’s beauty is so amazing, indeed this is our home away from home and even better. I love this place. There is no better place. My husband even goes in to some kind of a trance every time because it’s so beautiful. I brag about this place to my family in California, because I feel lucky to have a place like this for vacation.” (Chelsea’s Choice)
Angie & Paul Sutter, Pinellas Park, FL, November 2011: “Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with us. We had a wonderful time here for our honeymoon! The views were spectacular and the cabin hot tub was perfect after a long day of exploring the area. We will be sure to visit again soon. P.s. We will post some pics on Facebook when we get back. I will make sure Angel Cabins is tagged.” (Chelsea’s Choice)
Mark, Karen, Addison & Aiden, Ft. Bragg, NC, November 2011: “What a great vacation we had on our little family getaway trip. This was our first visit to the mountains of NC and we just loved it! The log cabin was perfect for our family of four. The kids had fun on “The Polar Express” and exploring the Smoky Mountains on our way to Gatlinburg. We were amazed at how much there was to see and do. We’re already thinking of making this an annual fall getaway for the family.” (Chelsea’s Choice)
The Sartori’s, South Carolina, formally of Boston, MA, November 2011: “These last few days were meant as a memorial of remembrance trip in honor of my father, (their Paw-Paw) Carl. He loved the fall, all the colors and nature. We came up here to celebrate his life and are leaving with so much more than we expected. It goes without saying that the log cabin is like a home away from home, the people are so kind and helpful, the views spectacular and the memories everlasting. You were such a huge help making sure we had everything we needed and everything was just “Perfect.” My dad was with us, I truly believe that and smiling down enjoying the sight and many marvelous views with us. You have given us a wonderful gift by allowing us to share this little piece of heaven. The cabin hot tub was so soothing all the worries disappear, the wine a wonderful surprise, and we can’t thank you enough. Even our service dog “Stevie” loved everything about the place. On behalf of my family and especially my Dad aka “PAW-PAW” we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and pray we will someday soon be able to return to this little piece of heaven nestled in the Western NC mountains. We will be sure to pass some pics to FaceBook for you and everyone else. “ (Chelsea’s Choice)
Bonnie & Phil Belleveau, Canada, November 2011: “If there is a little piece of heaven on earth, this place certainly falls into that category. The sun rays coming through the fog which was lifting over the mountains in the early morning was a portrait of perfect calm and peace. Living on the east coast of Canada near the ocean, this was a welcome change in scenery. We will be sure to tell as many people as possible about this place and hope to return someday.” (Chelsea’s Choice)
Martha Gilroy, Wilmington, NC, November 2011: “Found you on the website un-seen, came up here for some much needed R&R and was not disappointed. The cabin was perfect! You guys ROCK!” (Bailey’s Best)

We drove through Cades’s Cove and enjoyed the peaceful drive and beautiful view. We visited Cherokee two days and bought several Christmas gifts for the family. We took lots of pictures, so when we up load them, I will send you some! The leaves were changing colors, and the hills looked just like a watercolor painting. We didn't want to leave. Diane & Tom Reeck, Barb Lingren, and Sharon Reeck, Wisconsin and Minnesota, August 2011: “We enjoyed our stay here very much! Such a great location to get to so many activities! My husband and I and his two sisters were here - and we spent a couple of lovely days exploring the Smoky Mountain National Park. We spent the entire day at the Biltmore Estate - WOW! Some took a day to hike and then got back early and just kicked back with a book. The evenings are so enjoyable on the deck and very few bugs as we watched the “smoke” creep back into the valley below the cabin. The drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway was in a word - stunning. I ran out of adjectives early in that day trip - just in awe of the palette of color and texture of the trees in this beautiful place. Love the quiet, especially after adventures of zip lining and tubing. The best getaway!! In Louisiana you rarely see log cabins because of humidity, etc. This is the dream cabin. Everyone . . . regardless if you are scared of heights, have carpal tunnel . . . the zip line (you can do). we did with our 12-year-old daughter - fantastic - this atmosphere is so different from Louisiana - Love it! We have been with you 4 times in the 3 years and have enjoyed each trip. The cabins are nice and the properties are situated for privacy and quiet. Jean, Nancy, KJ and Riley, Hoffman Estates, IL, October 2010: “How nice it was to come home! If possible, our second visit surpassed our first. We love the new sofa. I enjoyed the great bottle of wine. KJ and Riley “woofed” the biscuits. The fall colors were stunning and we even enjoyed the rain on the tin roof! We felt like “home folks” this time because we could find our way around Bryson City and the area. Also did a lot of exploring this time, but still felt that “our” cabin is the best place to be. Thanks to all of you. We will be back! Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season.” (Maggie Lou’s Retreat)
Marie McDearmid, October 2010: “I have traveled a long time, have had many nice accommodations in many parts of this world, but I must say this beautiful cabin has been very cozy and so warm with great accommodations. The bottle of wine was a great surprise. I don’t recall another place I have been with so much warmth. Thank you. I am sure we will be back and I’ll be glad to refer this place to my friends. Thanks again.” (Maggie Lou’s Retreat)
Lori & Phil Gramaglia, South Beach, FL and Joann & Lincoln Knowles, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, October 2010: “We have been here before and recalled “Maggie Lou’s Retreat” was very cozy and neat. On our second visit we received a gift of fine wine (thank you) and had a really good time. We didn’t need to put a log on the fire as the sun rose higher through the Smokey Mountains. The bright sunshine lit up the colorful leaves on the beautiful trees. Something hit the tin roof and scared us then we discovered they were acorns - What a hoot! They say the foliage peak is coming this weekend and we have to sneak back! Thank you Tee, Jose, & Michelle – be well and Happy Holidays!” (Maggie Lou’s Retreat)
Tom & June Lupine, Waco, TX, October 2010: “Wonderful – enjoyed your cabin and hope to return again. Bryson City was everything we were looking for. Best always.” (Maggie Lou’s Retreat)

Matt, Kristin & Ty, Green Bay, WI, September 2010: “This was our first time to North Carolina and the mountains with a 7-month-old baby. We enjoyed all the amenities that the cabin offered. We were able to just enjoy time as a family as we just relaxed and did some small hikes and drives around exploring this beautiful area. Highlights for us were our visit to the Biltmore, our day trip to Cataloochee in the Smokies, our hiking in Deep Creek and Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. We loved the hospitality of Bryson City – we felt so welcomed. The wraps at Mountain Perks were a delicious picnic, we loved the cinnamon buns from Stoltzfuss Bakery, and the crepes at Cork & Bean. What a great week.” (Bailey’s Best)
Binky & Philip Collins, Advance, NC, September 2010: “These last four days have been wonderful – just what the ‘doctor’ ordered. Thank you, Tee and Jose, for a great place to stay. All the comforts of home without all the hustle and bustle. It rained the day we arrived and most of the next day, which was great. This is our last night and we are on the deck watching the night. Again, thanks for a most relaxing vacation and we hope to see you all again in 2011.” (Marge’s Memories)

We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.” (Marge’s Memories)
Cindy, Tom, Misty and Sparky Mullen, Kenneth City, FL September 2010: “We went whitewater rafting, to Cades Cove, several trips to the IGA and out to Cataloochee. We saw a wild hog rooting on the side of the road, deer and many elks. A real treat for us city folk! Our dogs, Misty 15 years and Sparky 6 years enjoyed themselves too! This is our 10th trip to Bryson City area and we still found many new roads and short-cuts. This is our last vacation before the holidays come rolling around, and in our business that means serious work. I think we are prepared to face them after being here. Thanks.” (Marge’s Memories)
Maria Garcia, Atlanta, GA, September 2010: “Such a wonderful time. We are definitely coming back next year. Thanks a lot.” (Marge’s Memories)
Leann & Billy Ritchie, Crandall, TX, September 2010: “The stay was outstanding. The cabin was super clean, bed and pillows were so soft!! Very relaxing stay. Will be planning another trip out here. We rode motorcycles out here and the best rides were Tail of the Dragon, Moonshiner 28, Cherahola Skyway – all the roads are very curvy and challenging, but lots of fun!” (Bailey’s Best)
“We said it when we arrived – we’re saying it as we leave – this is an incredible place. Sitting on the deck (beautiful weather) we could look out at what God created for man to enjoy; a beauty untouched by man to somehow make it better. The cabin was awesome. We didn’t lack for a thing. The peace up here was only broken by the acorns on the tin roof. The hot tub became the highlight of our day. For two women with high stress jobs, this was better than any medicine in the world. The downside was that one week is not long enough. Yes, we are all ready planning our next trip here. Thank you for giving us a perfect vacation. We enjoyed the hot tub, sitting on the deck, enjoyed the Blue Ridge Parkway and the great Smokies.” (Peggy’s Peace)
Andy, Sam, Rosemary & Ken, Charlotte, NC, September 2010: “Thank you for the wonderful weekend. We had so much fun and will be back very soon. Whitewater rafting unguided is a must and the hot tub at 2a.m.” (Peggy’s Peace)

We had a wonderful “34th anniversary” with some much needed rest.” (Chelsea’s Choice)
The Meierdierks Family, Neptune Beach, FL, August 2010: “Once again, we have enjoyed our time in Heaven at Angel Cabins. Tee and the gang always make us feel so welcome. We love the beds!!! Deep Creek is a must. Going down the creek is fun, but sitting in a chair in the shade watching the tubers go by is so relaxing. Burgers at Jimmy Mac’s and sandwiches at the Filling Station are a must also. But of course best of all is coming home to a little piece of Heaven at Angel Cabins and Bailey’s Best. (Bailey’s Best)
Leann & Billy Ritchie, Kaufman, TX, August 2010: “Our first time to visit Angel Cabins and North Carolina. We rode our motorcycles from Dallas, TX to here . . . What a journey!
